By chance or design you have found your way to my musings on the wealth of lessons my horses have taught me over the years. There is an elegant, straightforward approach in the way a horse deals with his world. As a rider and trainer, I've come to appreciate their approach to the demands placed upon them. As a teacher, I try to impart skills to my students that will allow them to understand what their horses need to get the job done. As a writer, I attempt to convey the special lessons that can be gleaned from the horse if we simply pay attention.

Those of us who have, or have had, horses in our lives are lucky indeed. They are our friends, our confidants, our teachers. Our lives are so much richer for what they have brought to us.
